This hardcover, concealed coil book is packed with prompting reflections and questions, tracing the child’s Catholic journey of Faith: the celebration of the Sacraments, the growing knowledge of the Catholic Faith through Catechism and Tradition and the child’s deepening personal relationship with Jesus.
Catechism references are included to look up specific questions, although there is a complete answer key in the back of the book for Catechism based questions.
I think the whole concept of this journal is pretty cool. First off, it’s actually two journals in one. The first journal is Hand in hand with Jesus which covers catechesis on the seven Sacraments and teaching of the Catholic faith. There are also places where you or your child can record when they celebrate a sacrament. The second journal is called Heart to heart with Jesus and it is filled with questions that will serve to get your child thinking and reflecting on his or her relationship with Jesus.

Has it been updated with the new mass translation?
Sorry, Jayme…unfortunately, the Faith Journal still shows traces of the previous translation, although this minimally affects only a few of the 176 pages as it is more of a journal or keepsake/workbook, rather than a missal.
Upon request, I would also send you the adapted Mass text pages in PDF format from our Journey with Jesus Sacrament kits with your purchase of the Hand in hand with Jesus Faith Journal. They could be used to insert in place or ‘correct’ the previous translation. Hope that helps!
